Enjoy the happiness of angling
Glassy lakes, magical forest lakes and rushing rivers - experience both freedom and choices. Here we can offer you angling-challenges, no matter what type of waters or what kind of fishing you´re seeking. Choose and vary!
For instance, enjoy one day of angling, catching pike, perch, zander, whitefish and trout. The next day you´ll be fishing salmon in salmon waters – whith a catch guaranteed – we continuously introduce trout and salmon who can weigh up to 7 kilos!
You can also rent a forest lake of your own. There you can decide yourselves how much fish you want us to introduce into it.
Remember that a fishing licence is required for all lakes. The local Tourist Office can give you information about where you can buy a fishing license.

Get out into the wild - Canoe routes
Hällefors offers you very beutiful and well arranged canoe routes in Svartälven river and connected lakes. Here you can paddle with the wilderness of Bergslagen as your only neighbour.
Canoeing is not only suitable for the adventurer but olso for children. Along the canoe routes and by the lakes there are rest areas and wind shelters that you can use for overnight lodging.
Fact sheets with maps are available for each of the routes. Here you will find detailed information about points of interest and things to keep in mind.
It is simple to rent a canoe in Hällefors, several rental agencies can be found in the municipality. They gladly help you with your local arrangements.

Take a hike - Walking in the forrests in Hällefors
In the surroundings you can experience wilderness in our deep forrests. Around Hällefors you can find numerous of paths and trails. We strongly recommend the trail called Silverleden, winding its paths up and down steep hills, along the rippling waters, the golden cloudberry bogs and through deep forrests.
After a long day on foot, you arrive exhausted to attractive shelters by the lakes where, if you are lucky you can become acquainted with the red-throated diver and ospreys.
The trail is a loop-trail which starts and ends at Hurtigtorpet in Hällefors. The distance is approx 60 km.
Of course the trail olso is suitable for daytrips as well.
In the late summer and autumn you are free to pick berries and quantarelles along the path according to The Swedish Right of Public Access. So, get out into the forrests, but remember to bring your basket!
